August 30, 2020 - changes to our to go policy. We will no longer be taking to go orders over the phone. You wil need to come in to the restaurant and place it there. No need to wait in line to get in - just come up to the counter. There have been too many instances in the last couple of weeks where food is ordered and not paid for. We know that this is not the majority of our to go orders, but we are frustrated when food isn't being paid for. Our kitchen is very fast and the wait time is normally not more than 10 minutes. Unfortunately, one or two bad apples can spoil the whole bunch. Our cashiers answer the phone and take the to go orders. Many times we are not entering the order the same time as it is called in. We are not set up to take payment at the time food is ordered so we feel like this is our only option.
We will not be doing to go orders on Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m. through close. We had hoped this would be a one time occurrence, but find this necessary too.
We have the best staff and customers around. We feel fortunately to be able to serve you but this year has been a challenge to say the least. We have 7 more weeks to go and hope to see you a few more times before then!
When you arrive, things will be different. Seating every other table - waiting a proper social distance from other folks in line - employees in face masks - and customers. I know this is a tough subject...but we require that you wear your mask while you are waiting to be seated, waiting to eat and while checking out . We have disposable ones available for $1.00 for those folks who forgot theirs. When checking out, please be mindful of who else may be in line. If you can send one person per party up to pay, that would be great.
We are going to limit customers to 6 to a party. Our booths seat 6, tables 4. That way we won't need to add chairs to tables or push them together. It's going to be different with the "6 foot" rule, but we are going to give it a try!
We will have the entrance way and sidewalk marked for social distancing. There will be one door in - one door going out. Again, leaving a section of the sidewalk free for those who are exiting.
It's still hard to process all of this...but at least it's a start.
Let's get this party started! (Hugs will still have to wait)
